Pleas from residents have led to the Police unearthing and shutting down a cannabis factory in Tudor Drive, Kingston.

200 plants from the address earlier this month.

It is believed that the house was let to two Korean nationals via an agent to whom false identities were given.

Enquiries are ongoing  If anyone has any information relating to the above they are asked to contact Kingston police via 101.

Inspector Ron Rogers, who heads the Safer Neighbourhood teams for the North of the Borough, says "This is yet another good instance where concerned residents have contacted us and we have been able to – literally – 'nip this crime in the bud'."

"I would ask anyone who has concerns to contact us either via the local Safer Neighbourhood team, via 101, or by using Crimestoppers anonymously."

"We will always listen and, where appropriate, take action"
