Flooding hotspots in Kingston

Flood alerts and warnings are being issued up and down the country and Kingston Upon Thames is no exception.

According to the Environment Agency live map, Portsmouth Road heading into the A310 and the Eden Shopping Centre have all been issued with an alert. 

Much of the shopping centre, including Clarence Street, Fife Road and Fairfield North is expected to be affected as well.

Parts of the Canbury Business Park, Wood Street and Skerne Road Industrial Estate have all been given an alert. 

Wind and rain is expected later on, clearing up overnight.  However, further rain is expected to fall tomorrow up morning until lunchtime. 

The River Thames is expected to top its banks and flood low lying land.
