Judges from the Guinness Book of Records are totting up the final figure for a 'hoop springs' world record attempt which took place at the weekend in the Bentall Centre in Kingston Upon Thames.

The London South West YMCA were part of a global attempt for people to shoot basketballs into hoops all the same time.
The attempt involved 70 different countries and nearly two thousand people.
On Saturday 13th, The Worldwide event started at in New Zealand, and ended in Hawaii at midnight local time.
Following the time zone progression. Various communities and cultures were connected by live broadcasting and other forms of social media during the day.
Invented in the YMCA in 1890, basketball is one of the most popular sports in the world and it has been used as a tool to empower people and promote a healthy life style.
