Kingston Residents Honoured by the Mayor

A number of Kingston Residents have been honoured by the Mayor in recognition of their contribution to the world we live in.

Mayor with young Community Award winners
Among the people recognised include Sheikh Sydney Assor, for his dedicated and selfless work for the Kingston Interfaith Forum building bridges and relations between different faiths.
Sylvia Blanc has spent more than 50 years' community service as a founding member of the Kingston upon Thames Society where she is still active.
Grahame Money got an award for his work and support as a volunteer tutor for Kingston Adult Education English for Speakers of Other Languages department.
Daniel Wheeler works for Kingston Churches Action on Homelessness helping to prevent people sleeping on the streets.
Mayor of Kingston, Councillor Mary Heathcote OBE said: "It was a privilege to meet a group of people, a blend of youth and experience, who have contributed hugely to the quality of life in our borough and who are model volunteers."
"Their special recognition by the people of Kingston is well-deserved."
