Kingston's green spaces scoop awards

Kingston Council has been presented with three Green Flag Awards, a scheme that recognises and rewards the best green spaces in the country.

This year, Fishponds Park has joined Manor Park, now in its second consecutive year as a Green Flag park, and Canbury Gardens which has received the award for a third year running.

The Green Flag Award scheme is the benchmark national standard for parks and green spaces in the UK. It was first launched in 1996 to reward well-managed parks and encourage others to achieve high environmental standards.
