Guy Fawkes Night/Bonfire Night near Kingston 2013

This year's fireworks night will go off with a bang. For those in Kingston wanting to visit a weekend firework's display, the RAA (Richmond Athletics Association) has just announced its big family event which will take place on Sunday 3 November.

The event, sponsored by Richmond Council, will take place from 4.30pm with the fireworks display starting at 7pm. There will be an after party in the bar with the Applecore Beatles at 8pm and this year's official charity will be The Poppy Factory.

The RAA fireworks display, which attracts thousands, is an annual family occasion with a fireworks display fully choreographed to music. They will be choreographed by the award-winning Phoenix Fireworks and will take place to the sound of the Beatles, the theme being The Best of the Beatles.

Latest boyband Class A will be performing live music before the fireworks, while solo artist Josh James and Jake Sims will perform their debut hits before the bonfire is lit.

And if that's not enough dance troupe Vital Signz will also be there to ensure there is never a dull moment while the Members Bar will be open to all. The event tends to sell out so it's highly advisable to book tickets in advance.

The Poppy Factory, has been located in the Art Deco building off Petersham Road since 1925. In tune with current needs, the charity is working with employers around the UK to help find meaningful and sustainable employment for wounded, injured and sick ex-Service men and women in the communities where they live.

Advance tickets are priced at £25 for a family ticket (2 adults and up to 4 children), £10 for a Grandstand seat, £8 per adult and £5 for a child (5-15yrs), under 5s are free.

You can try buying tickets on the night but you run the risk of not getting any if the event is sold out. Family tickets will be priced at £30, £10 per adult and £5 for a child, under 5s are free.
