This January, hundreds of people up and down the country will voluntarily spend a night sleeping on the streets - so that others don't have to.

'Sleep Easy' is a national fundraising event, run by the YMCA, which aims to create awareness of the issue of youth homelessness and raise money to support the work of the organisation.
This year, events will take place nationwide from the last weekend of January, until the beginning of March. Kingston's Sleep Easy will happen on January 28th, in the Memorial Gardens (on Union Street).
Registration for the event is £10 for adults, and £5 for under 18s, and includes a Sleep Easy t-shirt, hot drinks, soup and breakfast. It also covers all the admin costs, so any money you raise goes straight to helping young homeless people build a better future. Register as an individual, or rope your friends and family in and go as a group.
Visit the YMCA London South-West site for more info.
