There's always been something of a north/south divide in the Big Smoke, but new figures suggest that it extends as far as the thickness of our wallets, too.

Debt charity Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) says that Londoners south of the river owe an average of £19,951, whereas their northern neighbours owe an average of £19,130 - a difference of £821.

Instead of dwelling on the whys and wherefores of this depressing difference though, KingstonPeople asks, what would you do with a spare £821? Take a holiday? Buy an amazing designer outfit? Or would you save it for a rainy day?
