The Met Office has issued severe weather warnings for much of UK, including South London, this morning, as rain and high winds batter the area.

The weather is likely to cause disruption to commuter lines, where passengers are also facing New Year rail fare hikes.

Jessica Steadman, an office manager from Surbiton, said: "Getting into work this morning was a nightmare. My train was delayed so I was late to work, plus my travel card is more expensive now. People weren't very happy - it's bad enough having to goback to work as it is!"

See the Met Office website for weather updates.
