UKPN apologise for Kingston, Castle Street power outage

UK Power Networks have apologised after a number of houses in Kingston were left without power.

The outage left 169 homes in dark just before 10pm last night.

UKPN engineers were working in the Castle Street area carrying out routine maintenance.

People as far as Epsom and New Malden experienced lights switching on an off.  

UKPN spokesperson has said: "We would like to apologise to 169 customers in the Castle Street area of Kingston who experienced an interruption to their power supplies last night."

"We appreciate how difficult it can be to lose power, especially at this time of year."

The work was carried out and completed last night.
