NumberWorks'nWords provides individualised tuition in MATHS and ENGLISH tailored to meet the learning needs of your child.
NumberWorks'Words is a SUCCESS BASED programme aimed at making each child feel more confident about themselves as a learner. We do this by rewarding achievements, constant praise, feedback on progress, games and certificates. It's amazing how quickly their results - and attitudes - change when their learning feels like fun.
OUR ENGLISH PROGRAMME starts with beginning readers and continues well beyond fluency. It gives your child skills for success in reading, comprehension, writing, grammar and spelling.
OUR MATHS PROGRAMME for Reception to GCSE covers all aspects of the curriculum (number, patterns, algebra, data, measurement, space and geometry) with strong emphasis on numeracy strategies and problem solving.
All NEW STUDENTS are assessed during the first 20-30 minutes of their FREE INTRODUCTORY SESSION. We discuss the results with you and together decide the best programme for your child.
ACHIEVABLE GOALS are set each term and used as a focus for work.
During weekly ONE HOUR SESSIONS AT THE CENTRE, students work at their own pace, through a series of activities with a strong focus on learning, practice, achievement and revision.
DETAILED RECORDS are kept of the work completed and the progress your child is making. Parents are encouraged to pop in or phone at any time to discuss how their child is getting on.
Our programmes are developed by maths and English experts.
Tuition complements the work done at school, following the National Curriculum. The teaching methods we use are compatible with those used in the classroom.
