Kingston Borough- rubbish and recycling

Have you ever seen scattered
rubbish on your road after the bin men have collected your rubbish and
recycling? If yes then you are like many citizens of the Kingston Borough who
experience the litter on their roads. Every Monday evening I go up and down my
road collecting rubbish after the bin men have been, and to my dismay the
amount of litter left on the ground is in such abundance. The problem is
largely due to the small size of the bins provided by the council causing the
overflowing of rubbish and recycling. Also the carelessness of the bin men adds
to the amount of rubbish haphazardly strewn and left on the roads. Families are
allocated a certain sized rubbish bin which is expected to endure two weeks of
family waste, other boxes are given for recycling. The size of the bin varies
according to the amount of family members, an average size bin is given to a
family of four and then bigger bins are given to larger families. As a large
family of 7 we find it increasingly difficult to manage with a bin originally
destined for a family of four, we have contacted the Kingston council to swap
for a larger bin, but they have failed to provide. However Kingston can be commemorated for the amount
of effort they have put into improving the original form of collecting rubbish
which was even more inefficient.
