Channel 4 News has been investigating how much Zac Goldsmith, MP for North Kingston and Richmond Park, spent on his election campaign. They allege that he kept within the limit set by the Electoral Commission only by including the cost of leaflets and other campaign literature he actually used rather than what he paid for.

Zac Goldsmith told Sky News "The returns that my agent submitted to the Electoral Commission are

scrupulous."

The documents have now been submitted to the Electoral Commission who will carry out an assessment before decided whether to launch a full enquiry.

Yeah you are right Gidday_UK he just had the interests of being elected at heart. It's interesting that some of his colleagues have been caught out in similar ways to him.

For weeks and weeks prior to the election, I was receiving 2-3 pieces of Conservative Party material through my postbox each day and at least 2 of these were 'Zac-spam' so I am not at all surprised to read this article! And he claims to have the interests of the environment at heart...bah!
