The ‘Keep the Post Public’ campaign have organised a rally and march in Kingston this Saturday. The campaign has been organised by the Communication Workers Union (CWU) and Kingston has been chosen as it’s the constituency of Lib Dem MP Ed Davey, who is currently involved in the sell-off of the Royal Mail along with Vince Cable who is MP in nearby Twickenham.

Join the campaign to save the Royal Mail
252 MPs voted last week to support the amendments to the Postal Services Bill that would protect the Royal Mail. Although not enough votes were made to prevent the Postal Services Bill passing - MPs from all parties spoke in favour of amendments, showing the breadth of concern across the House.
This Saturday protesters aim to increase the pressure by attending the national Keep the Post Public rally and march in Kingston upon Thames, where Vince Cable and Ed Davey - the ministers privatising our postal service - are local MPs.
To take part in the protest, meet at the Fairfield Recreation Ground in central Kingston at 12 noon on Saturday 22nd January. Saturday's rally will crucial to get the message across to those in control of the future of the Royal Mail, before it’s too late.
