After seeing the latest film of the Twilight saga, ‘Eclipse’ I can
confidently state that it is by far the best Twilight film to date. The movie
is a revelation for the previous Twilight films as the plot has allowed more
action and drama. Subsequently it has gained diversity of viewers ranging not
only from obsessed R-Pattz lovers but also keen male viewers! The plot of
Eclipse is fairly straightforward and after reading the Twilight series one can
gain a greater understanding of the layout that Stephanie Meyer and director of
the film David Slade are trying to achieve. Bella is faced with a difficult
decision that will permanently alter her lifestyle and possibly prevent her
from seeing her family ever again. For someone like Bella the whole prospect of
leaving her family behind is haunting but she believes she must uphold what she
loves the most.
Throughout the course
of the movie Bella is forced to unravel her true feelings for both Jacob and
Edward, which leads to more difficulties surrounding her fate. The theme of
fire and ice is evident in the movie, the film begins with the poem ‘Fire and
Ice’ by Robert Burns which slowly paints a picture in our minds of how Edward
represents an icy character and Jacob resembles a fiery character. In general
the movie is very interesting, the fierceness of both Edward and Jacob’s
characters are breaking through as
they both fight for Bella’s love, a new genre of Twilight viewers has been created.
