Getting around Kingston as a Teen

Kingston
is a thriving shopping destination, with many services to offer, varying from
hairdressers to restaurants, gyms to cinemas. As human beings we prefer variety,
especially when we have grown accustomed to such a great selection. So when it
comes down to travel and how we get into Kingston it is extremely important
that our journeys are quick and take the minimum amount of time. Some ways of
travelling into Kingston would be by car, bus, bike or walking. Teenagers are
often restricted to using the bus routes or cycling into Kingston, cycling can
be dangerous particularly when you are cycling on busy roads. However using the
bus means that hopefully your journey is faster and you don’t have to worry
about finding a bike rack.
As teenagers
we are dependent on our parents and the government, when
we are travelling we find that using buses compared with other countries
is really quite good. Ayah Sharif said ‘we have buses and trains, but the buses
can be very unreliable.’ This effect has been shrouded over the vast
majority of teenagers due to efficiency and timing of buses. The price of
traveling via bus is very cheap compared to what it would cost to drive and
park a car. Therefore the more beneficial form of transportation to use is bus,
which is also helping reduce the worlds CO2 emissions.
