The Olympic Games are edging ever-closer, and with it, a programme of events designed to give everyone in the UK a chance to be part of the momentous occasion.

The Cultural Olympiad has been designed to coincide with the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, and also get pulses racing for the upcoming Games. All London boroughs are committed to taking part, and Kingston is no exception.

From the beginning of June, Kingston will come alive with dance, music, theatre, film, sport and events to celebrate London 2012, and leave a lasting legacy for arts in the area and beyond.

A first draft of the programme of events has been released - check it out here. And if you're feeling inspired and want to put on your own event, you can still do so. Just download this form and return it by January 30th to be part of something huge.
