Non-Dom Candidate for Richmond Park

This year has been marred by finding
out that our MPs have been abusing their expenses by making us tax
payers pay for such things as Bell Towers and Duck Houses. Luckily
for those in Kingston our 2 Liberal Democrat MPs have not been
involved in this for a number of reasons including the fact that
London based MPs where not allowed the same allowances. Unfortunately
another scandal was revealed last week. This time The Times revealed
that Zac Goldsmith , editor of the Ecologist and the Conservative
Candidate for Richmond Park and North Kingston, was not paying taxes
in this country on most of his income. They claim this is due to him
having non-domicile status even though he was born and brought up in
Ham.
Those who normally claim non-domicile
status are foreign nationals and those with roots overseas so they
can avoid paying tax on money they don't earn in the UK and don't
bring into this country.
The Telegraph also revealed that his
farm in Devon and house in the constituency he hopes to win in next
year's election are based in an offshore trust in the Cayman Islands.
After his tax status was questioned a
spokesman stated that Zac Goldsmith would be changing his tax status
before the election next year. This was shortly followed by David Cameron
stating he would change the law to ensure all MPs and peers pay tax
in the UK and before the Christmas break the Labour Government also jumped on the bandwagon. Considering the outrage caused by the MPs expenses
scandal, he should hope Kingston residents have short memories.......
Do you think MPs should be tax resident in the UK? Or should they be allowed to exploit tax laws? Tell Kingston People.

They all the same. Only in it for themselves. Also this is another bloody site that doesn't know Kingston has 2 crooked MPs.

ReportI think MPs should have to live in their constituency, and that the constituency party should own a property in central London for them to live in. Anything else they do is their own affair.
If I tried to put a floating duck island on expenses I'd get sacked!

ReportI think MPs should be allowed to stand as non-doms if they like, but no-one should vote for them if they do.
