Funnily enough if the

poll on the front page if taken for both constituencies in Kingston

would be correct. However it only measures the views of those in one

of the areas.

While KIngston and Surbiton returned Ed Davey,

Liberal Democrat, as their MP those in Richmond Park returned Zac

Goldsmith, Conservative.

I stayed up all night to find out the

election results. (Sorry about the spelling) Seeing some historical

moments on the way such as  Brighton Pavilion electing the UK's

first Green MP, Caroline Lucas and two former Labour Home Secretaries

losing their seats.

While the results where expected to be

announced in both Kingston and Surbiton, and Richmond Park at 4am I

didn't hear anything until well pass that.

The Kingston and

Surbiton result came first at about 5.25am. Then the Richmond Park

result came at about 5.51am.

The reason why the Richmond Park

result took so long became  clear. Turnout in the constituency,

where I live, was 77% one of the highest in the election over all

with Zac Goldsmith winning by a majority of 4,091.

While I

invited all political parties in the area to send me press releases

or to write on this site,  it seems out of the larger political

parties only the Conservatives where interested.

They

sent and wrote lots of information on both their constituencies in

the area.

Some of the smaller parties in Kingston and Surbiton

like UKIP also made use of the site but it seemed that many of the

Richmond Park candidates couldn't work out that their intended

constituency also covered Kingston.

And so while the

government is being announced I can say well done to elected

candidates particularly Zac Goldsmith who made use of the site.

Now

I'm waiting to find out the Local Election results in Kingston.
