Do You Have The Skills To Foster?

Do you have the skills to foster?  We are currently in the middle of  Fostering Fortnight. This is a 2 week campaign organised by the Fostering Network to recruit more foster carers to provide care for children between 0-18.

There is currently an estimated shortage of 10,000 foster carers in the UK leading to many children being fostered away from their friends and schools.  There is particularly a shortage of carers for children under 4, teenagers and sibling groups.

Foster Carers can come from all walks of life and there are different types of care they can provide.

So if you are interested in finding out more then Kingston Council has placed information in libraries and in the town centre. There is also more information on their website.
