I rate Strada as one of the better restaurant chains, but when my partner and I visited the Kingston branch one Sunday for a late lunch, we were a bit disappointed. Service was slow - it took about 5 minutes to even get menus - and the waiter who served us seemed stressed and distracted, even mentioning that they were short staffed. Once we eventually got our food it was fine but the bill also took an age to arrive and we were glad we had a voucher as the overall experience wasn't worth paying full price for. Sorry Strada, you must try harder!

We chose Strada for a Thursday night out as previously we had positive experiences with all aspects of this particular restaurant. However, we were sorely disappointed with the level of service and the quality of the food this particular evening. We saw the restaurant was busy and so opted to go straight to main course, thinking this would speed up our service. It is fair to say it did not in anyway. We waited nearly 45 minutes for luke warm, undercooked and poorly presented food which was unacceptable. I must say to their credit that the manager did do his best to appease our dissatisfaction, but I'm afraid that it was not enough for us to never return to a Strada again and to recommend that others avoid it at all costs when they have a 2-4-1 voucher promo running, as they obviously can't cope with the demand.
Strada never disappoints. Their spagetti bolognaise is one of the best I've ever had at a chain restaurant. I always order this when I go there. It's great that water comes with your table for free, and the menu is diverse. Lovely, large pizzas too.
Strada in Kingston is quite tucked away but it is a lovely restaurant in a beautiful building. The food is traditional Italian, my favourite dish is the pasta with spicy sausage and broccoli, which is so delicious! Their dessert menu is fantastic, especially the chocolate fondant which melts in the middle and is served warm with ice cream. You can often get discount vouchers for Strada if you sign up for their email newsletters, which make eating there cheap! Instead of having a starter at Strada, their pizza breads with different toppings, e.g. tomato and pesto, are great to share in a group.
