Kingston Gets Active - Go Kingston 2010

As part of the countdown  to the 2012 Olympic games Sport Kingston has arranged a FREE event on Sunday 25th July at the Hawker Centre bringing sport, art and culture together.

Visitors of all ages will be able to take part in taster sessions in

activities as varied as Nordic Walking, Belly Dancing, Singing,

Parkour, Tug-of-war and Capoeira.

For the younger ones there will be badge making, fun and fitness and

story time.

Displays

on the day include Korean Dance, Capeoira, Judo and Gymnastics.

You

can also take part in the Open Weekend Challenge where you have under

5 minutes in which to test your skills against the speed and

endurance of an Olympic Athlete.

There

will be information stands from Kingston based organisations like

Kingston University and Spartans Swimming Club.
